LIBRARY ACTIVITIES
EFFICIENT USE OF ARRANGEMENT PERIODS
Libraries are known to be centres of learning. It’s the
soul of every educational institute. Many great talents around the world has
acknowledge the library for their success. As it a key for budding talents,
updating and making library session even more interesting and fun is essential.
At the school
level, library arrangements periods are to be treated as activity sessions
which would make the day at school more efficient and educative. These library
sessions should be activity oriented and more of a fun learning process unlike
the regular library sessions. This trivial change would help the school
recognize new talents.
Such library sessions, can be utilized productively and
have tremendous potential to bring out
latent talents in self conscious students, who find it hard to speak in front
of group of people. The librarian can
organize elocutions, debates, and various other speaking and interacting
activities. As this will be conducted in the class level, students will be less
hesitant and each one of them would get an opportunity. This would be a first
step for many students who are not confident.
Conducting such activities will help students come out of their shell,
and the other students will absorb the knowledge. Resulting in an interactive
and knowledgeable session at school during a free period.
